Vintage 40’s Pink & Floral Print Quilted Feedsack Apron
This fun vintage apron is a little slice of Americana. I believe the fabric is feedsack fabric; cotton that originally formed a sack used to hold dry goods such as four and sugar, which was then opened up and used for sewing. This sweet example a mix of solid pink and floral printed fabric squares, stitched together in an alternating quilt-style pattern. The three front-most pieces are left with their points down, and the rest fall neatly in line up and back to the hip. The edge is trimmed with blue rick-rack, as is the V shaped open topped pocket at the right hip.

Condition
Very Good No holes or tears. There is some softening and slight fade evident overall from use and laundering, but the fabric is still strong. This was a functional, working apron, and shows two small, faint marks for it, both shown above. One is a cluster of pin-dots at the center, lap area; the other is at the bottom center panel, in the form of a small drip.
It has been freshly laundered.
