Vintage 50’s Black Faille Full Swing Jacket Coat

This wonderful vintage coat is perfect for the days when the weather is just a bit chilly, but not cold enough for your winter woolies.
It is made of heavyweight black faille fabric, lined with pale pink taffeta. The cut is fitted at the top, and then flared at the bottom to accommodate a full skirt. The jacket does not have any closures or belting; it is designed to be worn open. The opening edge has a 2” band as the collar running down to the hem. It is trimmed with scalloped lapels to either side. The long sleeves have nifty split cuffs.
The cut is more than enough to accommodate your full skirted vintage skirts. It can, of course, be worn just as an every day medium weight jacket, and would look great over just about anything.

I have shown this with a wide chunky bead necklace as a suggestion for a great look.

There are a great deal of age spots/freckles and one pin hole on the lining, which aren’t visible when worn. The coat has been freshly dry cleaned, so all is clean and crisp, but the spotting just wouldn’t come out.
