Vintage 40’s Simple Navy Blue Day Dress Petite S

This simple vintage day dress is typical of war-time dresses, based on the classic shirtwaist style. It is deep navy blue with a nicely fitted bodice and slight A-line skirt. The bodice has a great figure flattering cut and a roomy fit without being untidy. The collar can be worn up or down, depending on your mood. Simple shallow pleating gives a nice style touch and allows the fabric to accommodate the bust.
The skirt has a flirty A-line cut.

Pair this beauty with hose and heels for a dressy look, or with Mary Janes and a vintage cardigan for casual comfort.

I have shown this with a wide red woven belt and chunky bead necklace as a suggestion for a great look.
