Vintage 50’s Black & White Check *Button Bonanza* Day Dress L

This lovely vintage dress is a fun black and white gingham check with oodles of decorative buttons for a fun touch. The sleeveless bodice is shirt style, with a hidden button placket for closure, with the decorative buttons over the top. The collar can be worn up or down, depending on your preference.
The skirt is full, and can be worn over a crinoline as shown (not included), or without for a more casual look. It is trimmed with 12 sets of three buttons, resting on each pleat all the way around the skirt.

Wear this lovely dress as part of a casual day outfit, or dress it up with a crinoline, heels, hose and jewels for a sophisticated look for date night.

I have shown this with a wide red woven belt and chunky bead necklace as a suggestion for a great look.
The original belt is also shown, and is included with the dress, other accessories shown not included.

My notes made when prepping the dress indicate that a pinhole was found in the skirt. I’ve looked and looked, shone light through the fabric and still cannot find the hole. So, there may be a pin sized hole in the skirt, which is very hard to see.
There is the very, very faintest hint of some slight yellowing (redundant much?) at the underarms, again, hard to see unless under inspection.
The belt’s interior lining has bunched a bit, so it is a bit wrinkled. A patient ironing might smooth it, or, just pair the dress with a different belt.
It has been freshly laundered.
