Vintage 30’s Floral Embroidered Pink Lace Gown & Jacket Set

This charming piece of fashion history comes from the mid/late 1930’s, an era of glamour and femininity in fashion.
The entire three piece ensemble is made of delicate embroidered mesh lace with a floral vine motif. The set comes with the sleeveless gown, matching belt, and bolero jacket. The fabric is sheer, and is shown over a white slip to display the color.
The gown would have originally been worn over a slip dress that likely went to the hem.
The gown has wide shoulder straps, which would be adjustable (with careful stitch moving) to add another 2” (at most) length to the bodice. Ruffled trim runs around the top from back to front, and then continues down the front center all the way to the hem. The skirt is long to the floor, with a fairly columnar cut. The matching self-fabric belt is just shy of 2” wide, with a fabric covered metal pass-through buckle. It could easily be lengthened by moving a few stitches, as there are several inches of fabric available on the back side.
The matching bolero has full puff sleeves with ruffle trimmed cuffs. It falls just above the waist, and falls open by design at the front.
I have shown this with a chunky bead necklace and over a plane white slip, not included.

The outfit is modeled by a mannequin with the measurements 35”/25.5”/34” wearing a plain white slip. It fits her snugly.
