Vintage 50’s Mint Green Sheer Organza Bubble Skirt Prom Party Dress XS

This fun vintage dress comes to you from the 1950’s, one of the greatest eras for vintage-especially formals!
You’ll be the belle of the ball in this beauty. It is pale mint green overall, with an organza outer layer and taffeta base. The bodice is form fitting and feminine. The taffeta layer is tailored to fit close to the bust, and is held up by hidden spaghetti straps. The outer, organza layer is gathered over the bust, and has soft horizontal pleats across the top of the chest. The fabric pulls together at the shoulders, where it meets a tidy satin bow on each side.

The fullness of the skirt is in sharp contrast to the fit of the bodice. It is very full at the base taffeta layer, shown over a full crinoline (not included), in addition to the attached ruffled tulle crinoline inside. A layer of tulle is next, sandwiched in between the taffeta and organza top layer. The organza is curved up and stitched to the taffeta, creating a bubble hem. The skirt is topped off with oodles of satin bows scattered overall, each with a pearl bead at the center.

No tears or stains.
The spaghetti straps at the inner, taffeta layer are held in place at the front by safety pins. They can be worn as is, or will need to be stitched into place when worn for the best position and fit.
There are scattered holes at the underside of the bubble hem. These aren’t readily noticeable when being worn. It has been in storage for some time, and although it does not have odors, and is not dirty, a dry-cleaning is recommended before wearing.

The measurements are as follows. Measurements are of the garment, not the potential wearer, so please compare these measurements to your best fitting similarly styled garment to ensure a good fit. Don’t forget to allow room for movement and comfort.

The mannequin modeling has measurements of 34, 26, 35. The dress fits her up to the waist, but does not zip through the bodice.
