Antique Victorian Pin Tucked White Under Skirt

This interesting piece of fashion history is just a small bit of the Victorian woman’s daily outfit. This would have been worn under the dress for the day as a petticoat. This example has a simple waistband, closing with a single mother of pear button. The cotton fabric is unadorned to just above the hem. A ruffled 4” tier with two rows of pin tucking adorns the hem of the skirt.
