Vintage 40’s Yellow Blue Birds & Posies Novelty Print Feedsack Apron

This fun vintage apron is a little slice of Americana. I believe the fabric is feedsack fabric; cotton that originally formed a sack used to hold dry goods such as four and sugar, which was then opened up and used for sewing. This sweet example is butter yellow with blue birds, and red and pink flowers with green stems. There are small wedge shaped pockets at each hip, trimmed with a triple row of blue piping. The triple row of piping is continued at the hem.
