This beautiful vintage purse is most likely hand made. I believe it to be from the early 1900s, when at-home needlecraft projects for ladies were a prominent hobby.
The body of the purse is made entirely of delicately constructed crocheted black threads. There are horizontal rows with small round holes every 1/8”. Each hole is further decorated with two small black glass beads up to 1 1/2" from the top.
The purse has a drawstring top with a black silk ribbon as the closure and carrying strap.
The bottom of the purse is decorated with criss-crossed and dangling strands of threaded beads.
This lovely bag would look great in a vintage clothing display, as part of a purse collection, or even framed in a shadowbox.

Condition
This purse is in very good condition. There are some issues with the bead fringe, which may be repairable by someone who knows how, or it can be left as is, as it is not very noticeable.
There are a few threads along the top, which have lightened with age. They are randomly placed, and are now a dark brown. It isn’t very noticeable from a distance, more noticeable under lights and up close.
The drawstring ribbon has some wear, and has a few shattered areas along the edges.
One bead has lost the glass exterior, but is still present as the metal piece from the inside of the bead.
